Vocal Jazz Master Class with Gillian Stecyk, accompanist Sam Gleason
Participants should prepare and memorize in advance one or two jazz songs for performance in class. It is preferable, but not mandatory, that songs be memorized. Gillian will address technique, musicianship, interpretation and improvisation. A wonderful guitar accompanist will be available in class, so please bring a copy of the music.
For those seeking inspiration, Gillian will help select music and distribute it before camp.
Is this class for you?
This class is open to intermediate/advanced singers. Participants perform for the class, but not the end-of-week concerts. Other opportunities to perform include evening concerts earlier in the week.
