Alexia is teaching Piano Technique and Piano Explorations, coaching a Chamber Group, accompanying Lead & Backup Singing and Musical Theatre’s offstage rehearsal.

Alexia received a B.Mus. from Queen’s University and an M.Mus. from McGill University in piano performance. She was on the teaching faculty at the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) for many years and is still a senior member of the RCM College of Examiners. Alexia also has an ARCT in piano performance, an Orchestral Training Program certificate in orchestral piano and management, and a performance diploma, all from the RCM.

After running her own music studio in Toronto for five years, Alexia moved to the Peterborough area to follow a new path in environmental science. She is currently a PhD student at Trent University and is conducting research on airborne microplastic particles.

Along with her studies in environmental science, Alexia is still actively involved in music and is the music director for Centreville Presbyterian Church in South Monaghan. She is also a member of the Peterborough Singers and is sought after as an accompanist.
