Jenny Crober


 

Jenny received her Mus. Bac (Hon.) and B. of Ed. from the University of Western Ontario, and has been an accompanist, coach and teacher for more than 30 years. She is the Artistic Director and Conductor of the VOCA Chorus of Toronto (formerly known as the East York Choir), and Assistant Conductor of the Toronto Choral Society.

Jenny has performed with numerous ensembles, including the Canadian Opera Company, Toronto Operetta Theatre, the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, and accompanied singer Patricia O'Callaghan on her debut CD, “Youkali,” which received a critic's choice review in Billboard Magazine.

Jenny has had a very versatile career as a professional musician: She is also a choral arranger (the VOCA Chorus has performed several of her arrangements), has been a dance accompanist, and sang in a vocal jazz sextet, "Union Station,” heard on CBC Radio. She has been invited on numerous occasions to be a guest clinician, coach, accompanist and teacher.

Jenny is teaching Piano Master Class, Accompanist/Soloist Collaboration, conducting Jazz Choir and accompanying Vocal Audition.

Jenny is Artistic Director and Conductor of the VOCA Chorus of Toronto.
