Dec 18. Many thanks to our coaches and the participants for a fabulous Summer Sky in August. We have now offered three online Sky events and we will continue online with an annual Winter Sky weekend. The 2nd annual Winter Sky will be Feb 4 - 6, 2022 with registrations opening Dec 20 at 8:00pm
We hope to be back in Lakefield for Summer Camp, August 7 - 14, 2022. Summer Camp details on the website have not been confirmed for 2022 but will be updated when available.
May 7. Forecasts suggest COVID safety protocols will extend into August which is too big an obstacle for our in-person music camp in Lakefield. With the success of Sky last summer and Winter Sky earlier this year, we are ready and excited to offer a wide variety online workshops in Summer Sky, August 8 – 13, 2021.
April 5. We continue to monitor the COVID vaccine roll-out, government regulations and safety considerations for this summer’s camp. Our next update about Camp in Lakefield or Sky online will be at the end of April.

December 14. Announcing Winter Sky! After a successful week of making music in the clouds this summer, we have redesigned and created new workshops for a weekend format, Feb. 5 - 7, 2021.
The start of vaccinations this month gives us hope that LFM camp might be able to return to Lakefield this summer, August 8 - 15, 2021. We will continue to monitor the situation.

June 21. We will miss LFM Camp in Lakefield this summer, but we are excited to introduce our new online space for making music - LFM Sky from August 9 - 15, 2020
May 18. With guidance from government resources, the underlying science, and the safety of our community in mind, we must cancel the 43rd annual Lake Field Music camp this August. We look forward to safer times permitting the next camp, August 8 - 15, 2021. Meanwhile, we are exploring new ways to share music with our community. Take care, hope to have some good news soon.
April 14. We continue to monitor the news and regulations associated with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and have further delayed the start of registrations. Our next update will follow Ontario’s state of emergency extension to May 12. The safety of our community is of utmost importance. If we can proceed, the actual registration start date will be announced at least several days in advance.

We are monitoring news about the coronavirus and hope the extraordinary efforts being made this Spring will clear our path to Lakefield in August. The start of registration is delayed to the end of March and the actual start date will be announced several days in advance. Be safe, stay tuned.
We’re excited to welcome back so many of our coaches and introduce pianist Alexia Preston.
- Vocal Technique splits into Basics with Barry, Technique with Gillian and Ariel and a Classical Master Class with Ellen and Janina.
- Gillian’s A Cappella Moderno goes full Pop Choir and is feelin’ groovy with songs from the ‘60s.
- The Madrigal Group returns with Barry conducting.
- Ariel will be teaching Vocal Duets with Alexia.
- Alexia and Fern will be teaching Piano Technique and advanced pianists can play the Chapel’s organ in Stillman’s Intro to Organ.
- Improve your skills with Barry’s Sight-Singing or Laura’s Rhythm & Reading or the more advanced Rhythm Training (Level 1) with Barbara.
- Beginner Ukulele advances to Part 2 and Stillman will also be teaching beginner Handbells.

Nov. 17, 2019, we mourn the sudden passing of Terry Head, dear friend and colleague, thoughtful and patient teacher, superb musician (obituary). From 2009 to 2019, Terry was a much respected and loved member of LFM faculty, teaching piano, organ and handbells, accompanying soloists and choirs and coaching chamber groups. In Nov 2020, the Ontario Guild of English Handbell Ringers announced the Terry Head Memorial Fund.
