This course is designed for classical woodwind and string players who love the idea of small ensemble playing with one person to a part, but need to learn the skills vital to carry a part independently. The skills covered in class are rhythm and beat, sight-reading, cueing and listening to others in the group, tuning processes and how your instrument blends with others
This class is open to intermediate woodwind and string players. If you are a beginner on your instrument, it would be helpful to know and be able to read at least three scales of one octave range. Music will be geared to each player, based on information provided in the course selection form. This class will not perform at the end of the week. This class has limited enrolment.
