Charles is teaching Musical Theatre Interpretation, coaching Vocal Duets and directing Musical Theatre.

Bass-baritone Charles Baxter is a graduate of Western University’s Faculty of Music and went on to study voice with Igor Saika-Voivod and Peter Barcza.

On stage, Mr. Baxter has appeared in a wide range of productions including roles in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, Rossini’s Barber of Seville, Lehar’s The Merry Widow, Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, and many Gilbert & Sullivan shows with groups including The Toronto Philharmonia, The Hamilton Philharmonic, Toronto Operetta Theatre, Opera in Concert, and Chorus Niagara.

As a conductor, Charles served as musical director for over seventy-five theatre productions in south-western Ontario. Recently retired from teaching high school, he serves as musical director for Woodstock Performing Arts Collective and Theatre Woodstock and has his own private voice studio.
