David's website


David has directed many vocal and instrumental groups, including at Canada's National Ballet School and Tafelmusik's Baroque Summer Institute at the University of Toronto. He completed the graduate program in early music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, The Netherlands, and holds a Masters degree in music history and performance from the University of Toronto. Since 2003, David has been conductor of the Hart House Singers, University of Toronto, where he has conducted major choral works, including the Mozart Requiem, Brahms Requiem, Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms, Bach Magnificat, and Handel's Coronation Anthems.

David has performed as a tenor soloist with several early and contemporary music ensembles, including Tafelmusik, Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, Aradia Ensemble, Utrecht Barok Consort, Pierrot Ensemble, La Capriola of Amsterdam, Dancemakers, and Toronto Consort.

In Classical Week, David is teaching Early Music Repertoire, Vocal Technique (Advanced), and Vocal Repertoire (Advanced).
