|
|
|
Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Lisa earned her Mus. Bac. and B. Ed. degrees from the University of Toronto and her honours diploma in Vocal Jazz Performance from Humber College. She also has an M.A. in Composition from York University. Lis is active both as an educator and a performer, freelancing in the Toronto area where she leads her own jazz quartet and is a member of the Humber College faculty. Lisa's growing reputation as a jazz artist has resulted in invitations to perform at clinics, to adjudicate for universities and colleges, and to teach at summer music camps throughout Canada and the United States. In Jazz Week, Lisa is leading Vocal Jazz Technique, Jazz Choir (Beginner), Jazz Choir (Advanced) and will team-teach the Jazz Standards Combo with Kevin Turcotte. |
