Passion, imagination and a natural ease are qualities that Pianist and Organist Nancy Dettbarn brings to her playing and audiences. Ms. Dettbarn is a member of the Music Faculty at the University of Toronto, where she teaches courses in piano and the Alexander Technique for musicians. She was hand-picked to coach the masterclass outreach program for advanced musicians which was started by the late Boyanna Toyich. Her mission is helping musicians of any age to be fully engaged, aware and empowered and able to achieve their potential at the instrument with ease and fluidity. Nancy is the Minister of Music and organist at Westminster United Church in Orangeville, Ontario where she leads the Celebration Choir. She has private piano studios in Toronto and Orangeville and is collaborative pianist for the Achill Choral Society. Nancy is in demand with vocalists and instrumentalists as a sensitive and skilled collaborative musician. She is a dynamic clinician who gives workshops and plays throughout the area and in the United States as a performer, collaborator and accompanist. |
