Madison is teaching Flute Technique and Baroque for Woodwinds, coaching Intro to Chamber Groups, conducting the Woodwind Ensemble.

Madison Deppe is a Hamilton-based flautist who performs in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings across Ontario. She is Principal Flute with Sinfonia Ancaster, maintains an active freelance career, and performs regularly with the Niagara Symphony, the Guelph Symphony, the Sudbury Symphony, the Brott National Academy Orchestra, and the Oakville Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. She collaborates frequently with choruses in Woodstock, Hamilton, Georgetown, Collingwood, and Brantford.

Madison performs in a variety of chamber music projects, including Petites Etoiles (flute, viola, harp), and Duo Petrichor (flute & guitar), which presents concerts across the GTA. She spent five seasons as a piccolo player with the Ceremonial Guard on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and has participated in summer training with Tafelmusik, performing regularly on baroque flute.

Madison maintains a large flute and piano studio, serves as flute instructor at Redeemer University, and conducts the university’s Chamber Music Club. She is a sought-after clinician and coach, working with the Hamilton and Oakville Youth Orchestras and frequently leading sectionals and workshops at Hillfield Strathallan College, Ridley College, Dundas Valley Secondary School, and Cawthra Park School for the Arts, her alma mater. She is a returning faculty member and featured soloist at Summer Music Camp in Port Elgin, and is thrilled to be joining Lake Field Music this summer.

Madison holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Western University, where she studied with Anne Thompson, and has also studied with Patricia Dydnansky, Claire Guimond, and Susan Hoeppner. She is thrilled to now call Hamilton home, and has recently co-led flute choir events for the Greater Hamilton community.

In her free time, Madison enjoys reading, studying languages, and training for a future triathlon.
