This course is designed for classical woodwind and string players who love the idea of small ensemble playing with one person to a part, but need to learn the skills vital to carry a part independently. The skills covered in class are rhythm and beat, sight-reading, cueing and listening to others in the group, tuning processes and how your instrument blends with others |
|
Is this class for you? This class is open to intermediate/advanced woodwind and string players. Due to the limited time to learn the music at camp, and the need for solid technical and reading skills, this class is not suitable for novice levels players. The value of this workshop is greatly diminished when time is spent on participant technical difficulties rather than ensemble playing. |
